Giving up the Shelf Leads to giving up the Drawer

Posted by Miss Communication on Oct 1, 2009 in Uncategorized |

I haven’t blogged in a little bit … but for good reason. Sexy Friend Turned into Sexy Boyfriend. Sexy Boyfriend turned into Live in Boyfriend. Who will now be known on the blog as Foreign Exchange Student or FES for short. You see he speaks another language and he likes to speak to me in it when he is frustrated with me so I have NO idea what he is saying and can’t argue back. Can you say sucks to be me?

So I didn’t want to blog about it because … well, I didn’t want to jinx it. Lame I know! What am I 12? Mostly … I am the happiest I can remember being in a relationship in a LONG time.
So I officially have a boyfriend … and we live together. Which is truly wonderful. FES and Pants get along really well and we all have fun together. It’s like a constant slumber party! Actually so far everyone is on Team FES and I’m team Captain!

But there is one problem …

I have had to give up space in my bathroom. So you are thinking big deal, you gave up a drawer. Actually I gave up a drawer and a shelf. Which for normal people wouldn’t be that hard, move a hair spray bottle here, throw the bottle of Listerine under the sink, etc. Well I am not normal … not that this is a news flash to anyone. I am my own personal Sephora, Drug Store and Spa stocked deep with overstock and open 24 hours a day. How did I end up with this OVER abundance of Bath and Body products? I have this compulsion to buy something for myself to make me feel better whenever I have had a bad day. I buy a new lipstick or lotion or eye shadow. Well apparently I have had a few rough patches! Or … a lot of them. I am to the point of constantly buying the same color I already have anytime I go to the MAC counter and having to go back and return it. It’s bad! It’s Really bad! I mean seriously I have 7 unopened chapsticks in a drawer. I have cleaned out the products like 4 times and still .. still … every inch of my bathroom storage is packed full.

It took me almost a week to be able to clear off the smallest shelf in my 3 compartment bathroom cabinet for him and another week to clear a drawer. Its amazing … I haven’t freaked out once about him moving in (SHOCKING in itself!) but I have had almost 3 anxiety attacks trying to figure out how to give him a few inches of space in the LARGE bathroom. I am an only child … so by nature i am selfish. Sue me!

As of last week FES was fully moved in. Now he needs somewhere to hang his clothes …. Does anyone have a Xanax?

Perhaps with FES around there will be a lot more good days than bad. FES has a reason to make your days better. The better your days are the more space he might get for his things.

I added (might) so you would not get an anxiety attack at the thought of losing another shelf or drawer.

Know what would be awesome? If FES could build you a brand new walk-in closet!! Now that would totally make him a dream man.
